We just released a new video that shows you how to create a database CRUD application in 5 minutes using a low-code development tool. If you’re not familiar with CRUD, it stands for Create, Read, Update, and Delete, and it’s a fundamental concept in database management.
A CRUD application lets you perform these four basic operations on a database table. I know…this might not sound very exciting. But CRUD applications are the backbone of most modern software applications.
Think about it: Most of the websites and apps you use every day are essentially just CRUD applications with some bells and whistles on top. For instance, your CRM software is a bunch of interconnected CRUD apps. Your work calendar is a heavily formatted CRUD application. I could go on, but I’m sure you get the picture. CRUD apps are everywhere.
Now, I mentioned a few common examples of CRUD applications that exist in everyday software. But, what about the smaller scenarios that are unique to your business? I’ve found these exist in almost every organization. There’s a need for customized CRUD applications that fill specific gaps in a company. These are issues that aren’t quite big enough for a specialized software purchase…but do waste time.
For instance, maybe your business needs a simple way to manage things like permits, assets, inventory, uniforms, or just products in general. Or maybe you’d like to give specific employees the ability to securely manage certain database tables. I obviously can’t speak to every scenario, since each business is different. But if you’ve ever thought something like, “I wish there was a better way to do that” with regard to your business data, you know what I’m talking about.
The good news: Creating these custom CRUD applications isn’t hard. That’s one reason why we created this video. We wanted to demonstrate how easily you can create CRUD applications to fill specific gaps in your business. The video walks you through the entire process of creating a CRUD application using a low-code development tool and explains each step along the way. You can watch it below.
